Volunteers must be 14 years and older. PJ Our Way Goes to Camp for Family Fun Day Sunday, August 23, 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm Camp Wise, 13164 Taylor Wells Road in Chardon Experience overnight camp fun! Kids ages 9-12 can boat, climb, swim, craft, cheer, and make new friends. Parents will connect with fellow parents raising tweens and find their inner camper. Fall Cemetery Cleanup Sunday, August 30, 9:30 am – 11:30 am Chesed Shel Emeth Cemetery (Ridge Road #1), 3740 Ridge Road in Cleveland (See article below.) 2016 Campaign Launch Event Thursday, September 10, 7:00 pm Mandel Jewish Community Center, Beachwood Celebrate the start of the 2016 Campaign for Jewish Needs with featured speaker, Alina Spaulding. Saltzman Youth Panel Applications are due September 3! Saltzman Youth Panel is now accepting applications for the 2015/2016 school year. The deadline is 5 p.m. on Thurs., Sept. 3. This is a wonderful and unique opportunity for 11th and 12th graders to learn about keeping a community strong, assessing community needs, leadership, and grant making. The Federation has launched a Cemetery Preservation Campaign with the goal of raising $3.5 million to honor the deceased and ensure ongoing care of the cemeteries under the COCP’s jurisdiction. COCP has been broadening their role in cemetery preservation, and is responsible for the upkeep of 14,000 graves with the jurisdiction of six Jewish cemeteries, with a seventh cemetery added soon.
